Sometimes we get in a popcorn kind of mood. Tonight was one such time. The following recipe is our favourite way to season popcorn. Easy, cheap and tasty – the perfect lazy-day snack!
1/2 cup popping corn
oil (not necessary if you use a popcorn machine)
2 teaspoons chicken stock powder
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon Cajun spice mix
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
3 tablespoons dried powdered Parmesan cheese
shaved cheddar to garnish (optional)
- Pop your corn – we recommend using a popcorn machine because it’s more reliable and uses less oil, but if you don’t have one then just follow the directions on the back of the popping corn packet.
- When corn is popped, tip it all in to a large mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle the remaining ingredients over the popped corn. Use a spoon or your hands to coat the popcorn well with the seasoning mix.
- Lastly, sprinkle with shaved cheddar and serve.
