Cheesy Paprika Popcorn Recipe


Sometimes we get in a popcorn kind of mood. Tonight was one such time. The following recipe is our favourite way to season popcorn. Easy, cheap and tasty – the perfect lazy-day snack!


1/2 cup popping corn
oil (not necessary if you use a popcorn machine)
2 teaspoons chicken stock powder
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon Cajun spice mix
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
3 tablespoons dried powdered Parmesan cheese
shaved cheddar to garnish (optional)


  1. Pop your corn – we recommend using a popcorn machine because it’s more reliable and uses less oil, but if you don’t have one then just follow the directions on the back of the popping corn packet.
  2. When corn is popped, tip it all in to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining ingredients over the popped corn. Use a spoon or your hands to coat the popcorn well with the seasoning mix.
  4. Lastly, sprinkle with shaved cheddar and serve.
